The Shanghai Supercomputer Center (SSC), established in December 2000, was built with investment from the Shanghai Municipal Government and is located within the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park in Pudong. Open to the public, SSC serves as a high-performance computing public service platform that offers resource sharing, state-of-the-art facilities, and comprehensive functionality. Currently, it operates the "Magic Cube" supercomputer, delivering 3.4 petaflops (FP64), and the "Magic Box" AI platform, providing 100 petaflops (FP16). In addition, the center is equipped with an extensive suite of scientific and engineering computing software, dedicated to supporting national scientific and technological progress and fostering innovation in corporate R&D.

The Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Public Computing Power Service Platform is a major initiative to implement national strategies, accelerate the "East Data, West Computing" project, and deepen the development of the digital economy. Built and operated by the Shanghai Supercomputing Center, it is dedicated to providing reliable, universally accessible computing power to research institutions and a broad range of small and medium-sized enterprises. The platform leverages domestically developed DaVinci‑architecture AI computing resources, with a peak computational performance of 100 PFLOPS (FP16).
