CLOSED COOLING TOWER
A closed cooling tower is a type of cooling tower where a tubular heat exchanger is placed inside the tower, and the cooling effect is ensured through heat exchange between circulating air, spray water, and circulating water. Due to its closed cycle, it can ensure that the water quality is not polluted, effectively guaranteeing the efficient operation of the main equipment, avoiding scaling of the heat exchanger, improving heat transfer efficiency, and extending the service life of the equipment.
OPEN COOLING TOWER
Open cooling towers spray hot water onto the surface of the packing material (heat dissipation material) and come into direct contact with the air. At this point, heat exchange occurs between hot water and cold air, and a small portion of the hot water evaporates into water vapor, which is then discharged into the air. Finally, the cooled water falls back into the water tank and is pumped back into the system to absorb heat again. Although the principles are the same, different types of cooling towers have their own characteristics.
There are two main types of open cooling towers: cross flow and counter flow
COOLING TOWER PACKING
Packing is the most important part of a cooling tower, and its efficiency depends on the degree of sufficient contact between cooling water and air in the packing. The filler has a temperature resistance of 50 ℃ to 68 ℃, aging resistance, excellent performance, UV resistance, and long service life.
